A growing body of research shows that for most mental health conditions, virtual therapy and psychiatry can be just as effective as in-person care. For many people, the convenience and comfort of being at home actually helps them open up sooner and stay engaged longer.
Our virtual program is currently available to teens (ages 12+) and adults located in California. You'll need a private space and a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and an internet connection.
Your first appointment is a comprehensive evaluation. A clinician will spend time getting to know you — your history, current symptoms, goals, and what's brought you in. Together, you'll outline a treatment plan that may include therapy, psychiatry, or both.
Yes. Our board-certified psychiatrists can prescribe and manage most psychiatric medications via telehealth, in line with California regulations. Some controlled substances may have additional requirements, which our team will walk you through.
Most major commercial insurance plans cover virtual mental health services, often at the same rate as in-person visits. We'll verify your specific benefits before your first appointment so there are no financial surprises. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
We have clinicians who specialize in adolescent care and understand the developmental, social, and family dynamics involved. Parents and guardians are involved appropriately throughout treatment, and family therapy is available when it would be helpful.
